CURATION⇄FAIR

CURATION⇄FAIR, as signified by the “⇄” symbol in its name, is a project that bridges two traditionally separate realms within the art world: curation, representing the academic and institutional sphere, and the art fair, symbolizing the market. By connecting these domains, the initiative aims to generate a new cycle of circulation between critical discourse and commerce.

Sustaining the social significance of artworks and sharing their cultural value over time requires an ongoing dialogue between curatorial practices, which serve as the theoretical backbone, and the art market, which functions as the system of distribution. Curation offers a historical and conceptual framework that enables viewers to engage with artworks beyond surface-level visual appreciation, fostering deeper interpretation and critical dialogue. This mode of engagement, in turn, cultivates a more considered approach to collecting, one grounded in understanding, trust, and intellectual conviction. When artworks enter circulation through an art fair and pass into the hands of collectors, their value extends into the social realm. Over time, these works are reinterpreted in light of shifting cultural conditions and evolving art historical frameworks, eventually returning to academic discourse with renewed significance. CURATION⇄FAIR aspires to cultivate this kind of long-term cycle, in which the value of art is not only shaped in the moment but continues to evolve through sustained interplay between curatorial inquiry and market dynamics.

FAT COLLECTION

FAT Collection is an NFT platform that promotes the social implementation of WEB3 by utilizing blockchain technology, giving form to new knowledge through artistic practice. The service, where works of up-and-coming young artists are converted into 3D computer graphics through high-definition scans and photogrammetry, and digital replicas and secondary creative content are sold as NTFs, was launched in 2021. Going forward, we aim to create innovative value in collaboration with artists and projects engaged in artistic efforts on the web and in the gaming industry.
